You won’t pay anything for your medical coverage

If you are unemployed, you won’t pay anything for your medical coverage. The harsh pandemic we have experienced throughout 2020 and this year has left many people without jobs. One of the main concerns of the current government is to protect the most affected individuals until the current situation is reversed. The good news is that if you are unemployed, you are not completely unprotected, and you are entitled to subsidized health insurance.

Indeed, the American Rescue Plan, signed last March, ensures that those individuals who have become unemployed or have been unemployed for at least one week in 2021 can enroll in a silver plan under Obamacare at no cost. In other words, the monthly premium for this plan could be zero dollars.

This is because the new law may disregard the income earned by these individuals above 133% of the federal poverty level, while ensuring them the highest level of government assistance.

This means that if someone is receiving unemployment compensation but their income is not low enough to qualify for Medicaid coverage, they would be eligible for a premium silver plan at a cost of zero dollars.

Of course, if you find a job, your eligibility will change. But while you are unemployed, all you need to do is demonstrate that you are receiving or have received unemployment compensation.

Simply put, if you are unemployed, call Univista Insurance and you may be able to get government-subsidized health insurance at a monthly cost of zero dollars. If you are unemployed, you won’t pay anything for your medical coverage.
