I had a very disappointing experience. The two representatives I dealt with were extremely unprofessional. My homeowner’s policy is currently canceled, and instead of helping, they kept telling me to contact the insurance company. When I explained that I had already spoken with the company and was informed that certain documents needed to be completed and signed by the agency, their response was simply that the client receives notifications.

This is what I call poor service. It’s unbelievable how attentive and helpful they are when selling a policy, but when it comes to actually assisting a client, the service is terrible. Truly disappointing.

I hired a company to paint my house and it was extremely important they were properly insured, I requested a liability and workman's compensation. The company did not have workman's comp but was going to get it, they sent me the liability, however it was under his personal name not the corporation, I called this Univista store where he was insured and spoke to Jamisel who assure me that he had gotten the workman's comp but it was going to take a few days and he was fully insured, she was also going to email me an updated liability with the company’s name and me as a certificate holder. Once the company came to sign the contract he gave me a workman's comp exception application which I found weird, so I called back and spoke to her again, she said that this was an insurance policy and that it was the minimum insurance but he couldn’t get full workman's comp because he needed more than 5 employees and he only had one, but regardless he was fully insured and I wouldn’t have any liability, based on what she said I signed the contract to paint my house. The lady never sent me the updated policy and did a little research because this seem odd. Turns out she lied and by the Florida code a construction company (which this one falls under) must have workman's comp if they have one or more employees, she said they needed minimum 5 or couldn’t get it. The next day I called and explained the issue to another lady who answered the phone and I asked to speak to the owner, she comes back and says the manager will call me, when I asked for the manager’s name she hesitated and said Enrique, around 3 pm I called back and asked to talk to Enrique and the lady that answered said we don’t have an Enrique here, she then says wait and comes back and says yes Enrique is the manager but he didn’t come to work today, what you don’t know the manager’s name? I explained the situation to her again and she pretended to say something and hung up the phone, this person’s name is Gretter, or so she claimed. What they did is extremely dangerous, it puts at risk my assets, they purposely lied to me and the company I hired, he is under the impression he is also covered and unaware he is actually breaking the law, this is extremely serious and not something to joke about, it could cost a person hundreds of thousands if not millions if there was to be an issue and there was no proper coverage but you were under the impression you were. Be very careful when doing business with this company and double check all the information they give you. A business like this that gives false information the way they did should not be in business since they are putting at risk a person’s livelihood.
