Ten Reasons to Enroll in Obamacare

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), popularly known as Obamacare, provides people with modest incomes with quality health insurance subsidized by the federal government. To do this, it created a health insurance market in which it obliges the insurance companies that participate in it to provide the patient with a minimum of ten essential benefits.

ACA medical plans must provide preventive care that helps detect diseases early. Co-payments should not apply for such coverage. Prevention includes exams as dissimilar as colonoscopy analysis, and tests to determine cholesterol, diabetes Type B, hepatitis, depression, and AIDS, among others.

Under the ACA, the cost of laboratory tests required by physicians to diagnose illness must be borne by the insurer, never the beneficiary of the plan.

Pregnant women, under Obamacare, take on a special category. The treatments and care of the future mother and the newborn are free, as they are considered preventive care.

Additionally, children are entitled to dental and vision coverage and can remain under their parents\’ insurance until they are 26 years of age.

If you have a pre-existing condition, don’t worry, ACA plans can’t turn you down or overcharge you. Nor will they be able to raise your payment premiums or deny coverage if you develop a disease, or are enrolled in a plan.

All medical plans, under the ACA, must cover mental health treatment, drug and alcohol addiction, and consultations with therapists.

Those who sustain a fracture or injury can rest easy. ACA requires that insurers cover the equipment necessary for their recovery. But in addition, insurers must cover equipment to treat a chronic disease, such as multiple sclerosis.

Many drugs can be extremely expensive. Therefore, the ACA requires that the list of prescription drugs covered by the plan include at least one drug from each category.

On the other hand, Obamacare protects you financially against the high costs of hospitalization or surgical treatment that is essential for your recovery.

Don’t think twice, you and your family can have quality federally funded health insurance.
