A new law allows lowering your health insurance. Millions of people, who were not eligible for Obamacare, can benefit from subsidized medical plans, following the recent signing of the Coronavirus Relief Plan.
With this change, which took effect on April 1, millions of Americans will be able to enroll in Obamacare until August 15, by expanding subsidies to higher income levels. It also allows those who have previously enrolled to improve the benefits of their coverage.
The latter is important since the new plan reduces the cost of medical plans also for people who already had their coverage in force.
If you have had a medical plan since the end of 2020, the new rule allows you to review it and get a cheaper monthly premium or change to another plan with higher benefits.
